I'm a twenty-something author who writes about dystopian societies with a focus on character rather than building a sci-fi realm. Although I do build up worlds and love world-building, I love to write about broken characters finding their place in their world. My favorite genres to write are dystopian and magical realism. 

My books, How We Rise and United We Fall are YA (young adult) dystopian, but many have said they read almost like a contemporary. If you like character-driven books, childhood friends to lovers tropes, and dark worlds with glimmers of light, then you'll probably like my books. 

I am an indie author, meaning I do everything mostly myself. I do hire an editor and a cover designer, but I do my own interior formatting and I set my books up through the publishers to be spread out into the world. You can find my books online wherever books are sold. (Even Walmart's website has my books!!) 

This blog is my story. I'll talk about writing (the ups and downs) as well as other bookish things. I'm also a music fanatic, so you'll probably see a lot of that, too.
